Ingredients
- Cheesey Garlic-Herb Bread
- Serves 8
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Monterrey Jack Cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 teaspoon thyme (optional)
- 1 teaspoon oregano (optional)
- salt and pepper
- ½ cup (1 stick) butter, room temperature
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 loaf crusty French bread
Instructions
In a small bowl, add mayonnaise, the 3 cheeses, green onions, thyme (optional), oregano (optional) salt and pepper and mix well. This can be made the day before and refrigerated.
In a small bowl add butter and garlic and mix well. (This can be made the day before and refrigerated and brought to room temperature before you use).
Cut the bread in half lengthwise and spread half of the garlic butter over each half of bread.
Place a large skillet over medium high heat and allow to get hot. Place the buttered half of bread on the skillet and allow to cook until the bread is lightly browned. Remove and cook the other half. Place on baking tray.
Divide the cheese mixture in half and place on each half of bread and spread evenly.
Preheat oven to 425.
Bake bread for 10-13 minutes or until the cheese is lightly browned and bubbly. Remove and cut into slices and serve.
